PREVIEW | Hall expecting difficult game

12th May 2017

Carl Hall is expecting a tough game when the Dons travel to face bottom club Hemel Stags this weekend.

The Dons make the trip south to face a side without a win all season, but despite the Stags’ record, the chief executive believes the players will have to be on their guard if they are to claim the two points.

“It’s a game we need to win, it’s been a tough week for us and after speaking to the players, we’ve addressed a few thing and we need a reaction from them,” he said.

“We’ll take one game at a time, it’s a cliché but that’s all we can do. Hemel will be desperate for a win so we have to make sure they don’t get it on Sunday.

“If we go down there with the right attitude then I’m confident we can get the job done, we showed in the first half against London that we can hurt teams.”

With the Dons now winless in three league outings, Hall expressed the need to get back to winning ways sooner rather than later.

“The past few weeks have been tough for everyone involved, but we’re focused on getting back up the league ladder and closer to where we want to be,” he added.

“We haven’t been good enough in the league so far but we all know that, we’ve accepted it and know that we’ve got to improve in all areas.

“The club has got to come together as one now and build again, it’s tough for everyone but I’m confident we will get it right.”
