Chief executive Carl Hall believes the Dons are in a healthy position as they head into this weekend’s game against Barrow Raiders.

They go into the game on the back of three straight victories, and now face a team second in Kingstone Press League One with Hall expecting a tough challenge.

“We’re on a good run at the moment, we’ve managed to pick up results in some really tough games and it’s given us momentum,” he said.

“We managed to get the win over Workington, it was tough but you could sense after the game a good feeling amongst the boys.

“Barrow are a tough side but we’re starting to get a few players back now and that will give us even more confidence going into the game.”

The Dons produced a late fightback to beat Workington Town last time out, and Hall believes the team spirit within the group is building week by week.

“We’ve shown some determination over the past few weeks, there is a belief that we can beat anybody and we showed that with the way we beat Workington,” he added.

“The players know what to expect, they’ll have a game plan and strategy to go about beating Barrow, if we win then it will give us even more chance of climbing the table.

“Both sides have had a tough month in terms of travelling, our job is to worry about ourselves and put together a plan which will see us get the two points.”
