Head coach Richard Horne will make changes to the side that defeated Oxford RL 34-16 at the LD Nutrition Stadium last time out.

The Dons travel to South Wales Ironmen on Sunday, which will complete a three games in seven days schedule for the side and Horne is eager to see what some players have to offer.

“Everyone is fit more or less but I am going to rotate the squad and make sure that everyone gets a run out, to give them the opportunity to show me what they can do,” he said.

"Because there are a few players in the squad that I do not know much about, so its putting them out onto the field and seeing what they are all about.

“I am expecting a similar game from South Wales as we saw against Oxford, they’ll probably have a few young lads in there who are keen and really enthusiastic and come with plenty of energy.”

The Dons are locked level on points with Newcastle Thunder and York City Knights in Kingstone Press League One, and Horne is hoping for a slip up from either side in the final two games of the regular season.

“We need to make sure that we look after ourselves and if one of the teams above us or around us slip up then it’s a positive and fingered crossed they do but if they don’t we have to kick on,” he said.

“Travelling down to South Wales is not the most ideal trip at this part of the season, I would have preferred it to be at home but it is what it is.

“I want us to apply ourselves like we did in the first half against Oxford, we came out with the right attitude and application, and I hope we can take that into every game that we play this season.”
