PREVIEW | Miloudi set for debut

4th August 2017

Hakim Miloudi is looking forward to pulling on the Dons jersey for the first time when they make the trip to Cumbria to face Barrow Raiders in the Super 8s this weekend.

The French full-back arrived in England this week after spending time with his country’s World Cup training camp, and believes he can make an impact for the rest of 2017.

“I’m really excited to get going and start playing for the Dons, from what I’ve seen in my first week here, we have a group of good players,” he said.

“I like to play at full-back and try to control the game, I’m quite big and have a lot of pace so can play on the wing as well.

“I think the team is ready for a big performance against Barrow, we had a defeat last week so the players want to put that right.”

The 24-year-old says he is learning more of the English language in an attempt to settle in quicker with his new team-mates.

“I’m learning more English every day, I’m having lessons and reading up on different words and phrases both on and off the field,” he added.

“This is a good level for me to learn and develop in the English game, the lads have helped me to grasp the style of play very quickly.

“The coach has spoken to me and helped me to settle in, I understand my role in the team and hopefully I can put that to the test this weekend.”
