Head coach Richard Horne wants his Dons side to kick on and build momentum over the second half of the season.

The Dons sit seventh in the Betfred League One table after the first round of fixtures, and Horne is hoping his side can force teams into making errors against them.

“We need to kick on and get some momentum behind us now, we are going to face everybody again now, and we will be looking to do that against Bradford at the weekend,” he said.

“You have to make them work hard for their points and it is something that we look to do each game, we just need to work harder to force mistakes out of teams.

“All teams can preform in this competition there is no doubt about that, if you give teams enough possession or forces some errors out of them then you can get them.”

Richard Horne’s side travel to Odsal Stadium on Sunday to face league leaders Bradford Bulls on Sunday, and he says the Bulls are a well organised outfit.

“They are a very experienced side and a very well drilled side, they execute their shift plays and they have a big pack that gets them on the front foot,” he added.

“It will be a challenge for us definitely, we need to be better contact wise with our wrestle if we are to stand a chance of getting a result against them.

“They are the team that everyone wants to try and knock off, they are a team that everyone aspires to be like in this competition, and we have to be at our best on Sunday.”
