Richard Horne was delighted with his side’s display in the 26-22 win over Oldham in Betfred League One.

The Dons’ victory was their third in a row, and the head coach says the confidence within the group is high.

He said: “I think we’re in a much better place as a team, Matty Beharrell has been great for us and Brad England has had a really good season as well.

“I thought the boys fronted up against Hunslet and we put the pressure on them to do it again against Oldham and they did that.

“We can take confidence from the past couple of wins, you can see from the way that we’re playing that we’re building each week.”

The Dons are now level on points with the play-off places in Betfred League One, ahead of a trip to face Coventry Bears next weekend.

Horne added: “We made hard work of it towards the end after looking in control with 10 minutes to go, we were solid for the majority of the game.

“Oldham are a big and powerful side so I’m really happy with the result, we just need to close games out a bit better.

“We mentioned getting on the end of our kicks and building some pressure down their end and managed to do that.”
