PREVIEW | Cross happy to be back involved

14th September 2018

Kieran Cross says it has been good to get some game time under his belt after almost three months out through injury.

The hooker featured in the win against Keighley Cougars last weekend, and was pleased to be back involved with his teammates.

He said: “It was a long time out and i was itching to get back, so it was a great feeling to finally get back out there with the lads.

“I don’t think we struggled at all, we looked comfortable all the way through even with 12 men so we’ve got to be happy with that.

“We still scored points and continued to play our rugby, we didn’t just sit back and allow Keighley to come at us.”

Cross recently signed a new one-year deal at the club, and is now targeting more game time as the Dons look to secure third place against North Wales Crusaders in Betfred League One this weekend.

He added: “I want to stamp my authority and show Rich that I’m fit and ready to play every week, that’s my main aim now.

“We take each game as it comes along, we’re still concentrating on securing third place and looking to get the job done.

“We can’t control anything apart from what we do, whatever happens will happen and we’ve got to take care of ourselves.”

Dons 2019 season tickets are now on sale, and can be bought from
