Connor Bower says his try against Catalans Dragons is something he will remember for a long time.

The centre collected Jordan Howden’s kick to level the scores early in the first-half, and says it was a proud moment.

He said: “It’s one of those where it was over in a flash, I didn’t have too much time to think but afterwards it was brilliant to look back on.

“Jordan Howden put a really good kick in and I’ve been lucky enough to be the one getting on the end of it to score.”

With the focus now back on the Dons’ league campaign, Bower feels they can take plenty of positives from the trip to the south of France.

He added: “For us it’s a big positive that we matched them for 40 minutes, we’ve proved we’re capable of it and now we need to be more consistent.

“It’s things like this that you rarely get to experience throughout your career and can make you stronger as a group throughout the year.

“It’s not very often that we get to spend this much time together so it’s been a really good chance to bond with each other.”
