NEWS | Hall starts role as RFL vice-president

29th July 2019

Dons chief executive Carl Hall has officially started his role as the RFL’s new vice-president.

Carl was elected in December 2018 after being recognised for his 30 year contribution to the sport of rugby league.

He said: “I’ve said on social media how honoured and humbled I am to have this role, it means a lot to be able to make people proud.

“To work alongside Tony Adams is something I’m really looking forward to, we share a lot of the same values and morals.

“He is in it for the people and the players, he does a great job with Sporting Chance and player welfare in the sport comes into that remit.”

As preparations for the 2021 Rugby League World Cup continue, Carl is keen to use his position to try and ensure capacity crowds for the three games to be hosted at the Keepmoat Stadium.

He added: “For us in Doncaster our back the bid campaign went global, more meetings will take place and that will be borough focused.

“We only have 15,000 seats and we will have fans of Super League teams coming down, but with that we also want our locals to come and enjoy it.”
