Brandan Wilkinson will remain with the Dons in 2020 after signing a new one-year deal with the club.

The 22-year-old made a solid start to his Dons career after joining in 2018, before a long-term knee injury saw him spend almost a year on the sidelines.

After putting a string of games together towards the end of last season, the loose-forward is raring to go with pre-season training not too far away.

Head coach Richard Horne said: "Our fans have seen what Wilko can do when he's out on the field and hopefully now he's fully fit we can see him get back to his best.

"He has worked hard to come back from what as a serious knee injury midway through 2018, and his attitude throughout his recovery was good to see.

"He can be a real asset for us in 2020 along with the other lads we've kept at the club and the new signings that we have made."
