Secondary School Links
The Dons community team work within secondary schools in Doncaster and the surrounding area delivering first class Rugby League coaching and competitions.
Schools are offered weekly coaching in curriculum and extra curriculum to years 7 and 8. All schools who take part in the coaching are offered the opportunity to participate in competitions.
In October year 7's are invited to take part in a 9's day that aims to introduce players to contact rugby and the chance to experience playing in some full-contact games.
In November the first round Champion Schools Competitions for both years 7 and 8 provide a festival day for all schools with the winners moving through to the regional stage of the competition.
We have, and are currently coaching at the following secondary schools and higher education establishments:
Campsmount Technology College, Don Valley Academy, Trinity Academy, Ash Hill Academy, Balby Carr Community Sports College, Outwood Academy, Mexborough School & Science College, Ridgewood Academy, Armthorpe School, McAuley Catholic High School, Rossington All Saints School, Hungerhill School, Serlby Park School, De Warenne Academy, Doncaster College, Dearne Valley College.
