Biography

Former Papua New Guinea international Makali Aizue joined Doncaster from Kingstone Press Championship side Dewsbury Rams for the 2016 season.  After playing in his home country for Goroka Lahanis, Aizue was snapped up in 2003 by Hull Kingston Rovers,  going on to become a fans favourite over a seven year period.  During his time on Humberside he helped KR win promotion and become an established Super League side.  After making 159 appearances for the Craven Park side, Aizue joined Halifax for the 2010 season. He helped the West Yorkshire outfit win the Championship Grand Final in the same year, along with the Northern Rail Cup two years later, before joining Dewsbury in 2013.  He represented Papua New Guinea in the 2008 Rugby World Cup and 2010 Four Nations and is one of the most respected forwards in the game.
